Bonang Mohale , the CEO of Business Leadership South Africa,  believes in our country’s future. In his short time at the helm of the organisation, he has been very vocal in explaining how the private sector can create prosperity for all.

He has made a name for himself as the leader of many South African top companies. He was the chairman of Shell South Africa. Prior to that he spent six years as the chief executive officer of Drake & Scull FM SA, an integrated facilities management company owned by the Tsebo Outsourcing Group. Until 2003, he was chief executive: shared services of Sanlam and before that the executive vice president at South African Airways (SAA). From 1996 until 2001, he was the managing director of Otis, the world’s biggest and oldest elevator company.

Throughout his career, Bonang Mohale has played a key role in transforming South African Business. In recognition for his contribution he received the Presidential Award for his “Servanthood in South African Industry & the Economic Empowerment of Previously Disadvantaged Individuals” in 2001. He was also conferred an honorary professorship in marketing management by the University of Pretoria. Over the years he has won numerous awards from the business community.
